Despite not being able to understand more than a couple of words throughout this sprawling 5-part epic, the emotions presented are raw and palpable throughout. Second Bedroom I know the description mentions this is not a record of songs sung around a fire, but please know this is the best record to put on while sitting around the fire. The natural sounds throughout the album blend so well with the sounds of nature you hear while sitting around a fire and outside, pairing this album with a campfire brings you a new listen each time, each listen as organic as the life and burn of the fire you pair it with.

An idea originally thought up by Avey Tare and Panda Bear while in college, Campfire Songs is not a record of songs sung around a campfire but a record that hints at songs emerging from the fire itself: “We wanted to give the music the feeling and atmosphere of the outdoors and the warmth of a fire, so people could bring it indoors.”
